virtual tour of Perperikon

hey everyone,

I was doing my literature review while I came across an interesting website where you ca explore Perperikon online. When you click on the link below you can choose from several 360 degrees videos which depict different areas of the historic site. I hope you will like. Enjoy :)

P.S. Still it is better to see it in person

  1. HI Violeta

This looks great - I had never heard of it before so think it would make a good project. Good luck with carrying the research on site - I am a bit nervous about that as I think a lot of people will say no and will be hard to collect.

  2. Hi Violeta,

This virtual tour looks impressive! It gives a very good insight into Perperikon.

Applying mixed methods in your project in order to identify the motives for visits of tourists and additionally reviewing the perspective of the tour guides would provide a very interesting overview of the visitors.

An interesting point would be to ascertain if people prefer to combine visiting it along with another site or destination or they would rather focus just on Perperikon.

This research will contribute for promoting Perperikon as a part of the world. Unfortunately, there are many people even in Bulgaria who are not aware of its existence. However, I read that Perperikon as a destination is being popularised outside Bulgaria which is a significant advance and it will definitely attract more international tourists in future.

Good luck with the research :)

  3. Hey Ani:)
about your comment related to the purpose of the visit- i mean as part of a trip or a single destination... i am investigating that as well in the questionnaire... The thing is that I am aiming to investigate almost everything, therefore in the end I will be asking the visitors about 35 questions. Anyway may be in the end some of them will be left out:)
Good luck with your research, too:):):)
