Hi everyone,
I have decided to write about Perperikon for sure. And more specifically about the current and potential visitors and the overall impacts on the area.
My plan is to visit the site and to distribute some questionnaires which will help me to establish the current visitors profiles. As to the potential ones I may use some online questionnaires. I am not entirely sure yet.
Furthermore it is not very clear to me which are the best research methods for this topic, but i hope with time everything will come to its place :)
I had the chance to know about Perperikon while studying for my earlier Master of Social Science in Anthropology. If can remind properly after years, this is an archaeological township situated in southern parts of Bulgaria. The significance of Perperikon roots in its iron and bronze archaeological treasures, those can be dated back as early as 5000 B.C. I would term Perperikon as the European Machu PicchuYour initial research site selection is excellent. You have mentioned that you are not yet confirmed about the focus of your researh. Basically, I will say if I would do research in the same site, my first choice would concentrate on designing tourism product for the archaeological tourists. The area of your research is qvery much interesting and I am keenly waiting to read your research work. Best of luck for the upcoming outcome of your research work.
ReplyDeleteI think it is an interesting topic. However, maybe it is better don't spend time for idesntifiing current visitor.if it is a popular place, i am sure this data already exist. I think to masure the impact on this will be very practicle.
